SA: Three arrested over heroin haul in Adelaide

ADELAIDE, Dec 16 AAP - Three people were arrrested after police seized a large quantity
of heroin in the city last night.

Police said the seizure was the result of an investigation by the Viking task force
- a joint operation between the National Crime Authority, federal police and South Australian
police - into heroin trafficking in Adelaide.

A 350 gram block of compressed heroin, which equates to about 10,000 street deals, was seized.

Two 33-year-old men, one from Athol Park and one from Brooklyn Park, and a 36-year-old
woman from Kilburn, were charged with possessing heroin for sale.

They were expected to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court today.
